About This Sermon
We usually read David and Goliath and cast ourselves as David, called to be brave and slay our giants. But what if we have placed ourselves in the wrong part of the story? Israel was a terrified army that needed one champion to stand in its place, and David's victory became everyone's victory. Jesus is the true and greater David who fought the battle we could never win, so we trust the one who stood for us and live from the victory he has already secured.
