About This Sermon
Carrying someone's name carries responsibility. Opening with a video from Jason and a story about a company truck, Clay Thornton argues that God has always desired a people who bear His name before the world — Israel under the covenant (Deuteronomy 28; the third commandment) and now the church (1 Peter 2). The third commandment is not merely about avoiding profanity but about how we live: to carry the Lord's name in vain is to claim Christ while our lives dishonor His reputation.
