What We Are
At the Southside Church we define ourselves by what we do. We know what we are by what we do, and we are...
An Example of Faith
Word of the Colossians' faith spread far and wide. (Colossians 1:3-8) We seek to have our faith known in the same way, to believers and unbelievers alike.
An Example of Works
Truly, faith and works cannot be separated. Faith without works is dead. (James 2:14-18) We strive for our community to know Southside by our work, just like the Colossians were known. (Colossians 1:9-12)
The New Testament's Pattern
The pattern of Christian community formed by the apostles is meant to be applicable for all generations. It was in Colossae. (Colossians 1:21-23). We seek to honor that pattern in our worship, our community interactions, and in our individuals lives.
The Light of Christ
The Colossians were a light for the hope in Christ. (Colossians 1:25-28) Likewise, we long for Southside to be a beacon in our community intended to spread the good news about God’s saving love.
